My mother traded a lamp for an old Royal typewriter on a local radio station. This fueled my passion to write fiction at nine years old. Jumping off that school bus I could hardly wait to pound on those keys and let my imagination take me to another world that I created. Years later I had mentioned to a friend how much I had loved to write as a child and I had such a passion for it back then. Unknown to me he had ordered a writing course from television through a university in Connecticut where I took a two year course. My imagination had been hibernating and now once again it is awake. How happy this has made me. Thank you Mom for your encouragement and Ernie for listening! –Christine Carrington
